Jeff Fade takes 1st E-mod feature win of 2009
by Terry Adams

JUNE 27TH. The E-mods action saw a very exciting 30 lap feature Sat. night with a new face in victory lane. Andy Hoskinson took the early lead from Brad Copen on the start and 3 laps later Copen spun out in turn #3. Kurt Hennings brought out the 2nd caution as he stalled down the back straightaway. Meanwhile the #6 of Jeff Fade Jr. was on the move to the front making his way up to second place by lap 4. On lap 5 Fade went to the outside of Hoskinson to try to take the lead away. Side by side door to door the battle was on. Then on lap 7 Fade blasted into the lead. The race was far from over as the #40 of Tigh Shaffer was on the move and by lap 9 he was on Fades bumper. Shaffer went to the high side but fade would open the lead back up to a car length. The team car of Fade 'Stephan Klinecht ''was also in on this battle as he tried Fade outside for several laps but to no avail. A caution on lap 28 closed the field up for a final shootout with Matt Marlowe joining in on the action. AS THE CHECKERED FLAGS FLEW it was Madison Ohio's Jeff Fade Jr. the winner in his Klinecht Race Cars #6 machine.

Fade who 1 week ago asked Linsey Lemmerman to marry him in Victory Lane found his way back here1 week later. Shaffer was second followed by Stephan Klinecht, Matt Marlowe and Mike Lawson. Lawson won the dash while Hoskinson, and Klinecht won the heat races. Brad Copen won the 10 lap pursuit.
The street stocks saw a new winner for 2009 also with 12 cars on hand and a last lap 3 car battle keeping people on the edge until the end. Eastlake Ohio's Keith Platz took the initial green flag for the 20 lap feature event. The only yellow flag flew for a wreck in turn 3 with Josh Way going to the rear on lap 4. Matt Wilson and Shifter Winters were fighting it out lap after lap for 2nd place. As the checkered flag flew it was Platz the winner with Matt Wilson second, shifter winters, and Josh Way. Platz also won a heat race while Way won the fast heat. Chad Lemmerman won the dash.
The limited late models saw the #11 machine of Brian McCall dominate as he won the dash, heat and the 20 lap feature. The caution free feature saw Chuck Philips make his way up to second place with Ray Smith and Donnie Atwell close behind. A fierce 4 car battle for 20 laps saw McCall the winner over Philips. Atwell, and Smith.
The wild and crazy chargers also saw another 1st time winner as Lou Scurie won the 15 lap caution free event over Kevin McCall, Ritchie Gregory and John Buderer. Michael Parks won the dash while Steve McCall, Kevin McCall won the heat races and Parks took the pursuit.
